Live from the Toronto Beat Club's 14th consecutive meeting at TARA. First 7 minutes has Still Born demoing the new software from Intua "BeatMaker" for your iPhone and iPod Touch - pretty dope. The rest of the podcast is for all who sample - we listen and discuss original samples and their Hip Hop counterpart. Enjoy, TBC

Samples sound so much better in a Hip Hop beat than Keyboard sounds!!!

The Beatmaker program was pretty dope but (personally) I would wait a few versions before purchasing it... I know it's not (but I'll say it anyway) an MPC... I didn't like the fact you can only use 16 pads (no banks) or the fact that it doesn't include 16 levels...once again...NOT AN MPC...
Skilly's suggestive ways had my interests peaked for a MPC 1000 (with the pad upgrades) As work could become a whole lot more portable (not as portable as a iPod Touch, however!)

The Wallholder Report
@ - Intua's Beatmaker for the IPhone is the future for on-the-go pre-production/beatmaking handsdown. Respect to Still Born for bringing it through.
@ - The RZA sample used for "Tearz" on Wutang 36 Chambers was also used on the Boby Digital - Digital Bullet album
"Black Widow Pt. 2"
Performed by: Ol' Dirty Bastard Click here to listen
@ - Sampling and the Internet will go hand-in-hand in a BIG way unexpectedly in the coming years.
Vinyl uploaded to the Internet will force producers and beatmakers abroad to step their game up and flip that record up so much that the original artist will respect the producers/beatmakers talent as an artist. Many of the original musicians who have children most likely understand the the basic dynamics of the Internet, MP3's. ITunes, digital distribution and the music recording industry on a whole.
